'Anna Karenina' Costume Designer Jacqueline Durran 'Delighted' With Her Third Oscar Nomination
Durran is particularly pleased that the film's production designer, set decorator and cinematographer also were nominated.
Jacqueline Durran has been nominated twice for an Oscar for achievement in costume design: once for her work on the 2005 film Pride and Prejudice and again for her costumes in the 2007 World War I-era film Atonement. Both films starred Keira Knightley and were directed by Joe Wright.
On Thursday, she received her third nom for Anna Karenina, also starring Knightley and directed by Wright.

But she didn’t find out the news from her agent. She received a text Thursday afternoon from a friend who texts her a lot. But when she saw that the subject line was “YES!,” she knew something big was up.
“Because of that text, I was just going to get online to search for the Oscar nominations list when someone from Focus Features called me," she explained. "I'm really delighted and really, really pleased, especially because we are all nominated as a group: Sarah Greenwood [production designer], Katie Spencer [set decorator] and [cinematographer] Seamus McGarvey. These things only hang together when it’s a group effort, and it really was. "

The gang will be in town on Oscar weekend. London resident Durran is aiming to be in L.A. the week before for the Costume Designers Guild Awards on Feb. 19.
As for a wild celebration for her third time at bat, she and her husband will have a glass of Champagne at their home in London.
On what she's going to wear, she hasn't a clue and hasn't had time to think about it. After all, she's first got the BAFTAs. Joining Durran at the awards show will be Greenwood, Spencer, McGarvey, hair and makeup head Ivana Primorac, Daria Marianelli, who did original music, as well as Wright, producers Tim Bevan and Paul Webster, Atonement producer Eric Fellner and screenwriter Tom Stoppard.
