'The Artist' Director Michel Hazanavicius: 'I Am Getting Some Good Offers' From Hollywood
Before winning the honor of best director and best picture at the Critics’ Choice Awards, Hazanavicius spoke with THR on the red carpet.
Before he took home the Critics' Choice Award for best director and best picture for his silent black and white film, The Artist, Michel Hazanavicius spoke with The Hollywood Reporter on the red carpet about his last few months, dividing his time between Hollywood and New York.

"Yes, I am getting some good offers here in L.A., it's exciting,” he said. “I've met so many great actors now at all the events, I'd love to get a chance to work with some of the best actors in Hollywood. So I'm weighing all the options very carefully.”
Meanwhile, Hazanavicius has already directed a new film, or part of a film, in his native France. "Jean Dujardin produced a film in French called The Players, about infidelity, and I directed one of the short sections of it."
Hazanavicius was greeted on the red carpet by George Clooney, who told him how much he admires him. "Honestly," the director told THR, "I feel like I should be asking George Clooney for his autograph, not shaking his hand."
