'Breaking Dawn' Premiere: What Do You Think Of Kristen Stewart's Maximum-Exposure Gown? (Poll)

The star-crossed Twilight Saga lovers Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart walked the red carpet together for the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 world premiere at Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre. And both made some surprisingly out-of-character style statements.

The usually conservative Pattinson was eye-catching in an emerald green houndstooth suit made for him by Gucci. Reps for the house -- which also dressed him for his role in David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis out last Aug. -- have confirmed that the actor did pick out the fabric for their bespoke two-button suit, which he paired with a gray dress shirt and a black satin tie.

But it was Stewart’s shockingly sheer nude strapless Zuhair Murad dress with a lingerie corset top and a long transparent paneled skirt (and worn with Jimmy Choo shoes) that got the most attention.

According to some red carpet observers, it was almost as if she was thumbing her nose at the press storm that followed her admission of infidelity in Jul. and reclaiming her confidence, independence and her sexuality.

The reconciled couple did not share a romantic reconciliation kiss on the red carpet as had been rumored might happen by numerous celebrity blogs. But no luck. In fact, this photo (above) is as close as they got.

So if you want to see the pair kissing, well, you’ll just have to go see the film when it opens on Friday.
