The British Fashion Council Brings London Fashion to L.A. Next Week
A flood of British fashion designers, including Jonathan Saunders, are in town to hawk their wares.
If you didn’t get to go to London Fashion Week in September, fear not: a lot of it is heading to Hollywood.

The British Fashion Council – the CFDA of England – is importing major Brit fashion designers Jonathan Saunders, Mary Katrantzou (Keira Knightly just wore her print dress at the Venice Film Festival), Roksanda Illincic, (who’s been worn by Kate Middleton), Richard Nicholl, Todd Lynn, Erdem Tautz , Marios Schwab , Nicholas Kirkwood and Peter Pilotto to something called London Show Rooms on Monday October 17 at the Ace Gallery. Every single one of these designers – while perhaps not huge names in the States – have dressed major Hollywood celebs. Let’s face it, the stylists all know who they are! The British Fashion Council has held similar events in Paris and New York, but this is the first of its kind in Los Angeles.

All of these designers will be bringing their spring 2012 collections for Hollywood stylists and editors to see – and, we expect – a few celebrities as well, though the celebs will probably get private viewings. Burberry model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is hosting. The Starworks team in L.A. is manning the pr and doing the invites.
Wanna bet these designers score a lot more red carpet gets in the coming season? We’d put money on it! Meanwhile, this is such a big deal, we hear Vogue editor Anna Wintour is stopping by a cocktail party for the designers on Wednesday October 19 at the Mondrian Hotel – and that event we KNOW celebs are attending.
