Cindy Crawford's Daughter Follows Versace Gig With JC Penney Campaign (Video)
The supermodel, who started posing at 16, changed her mind about having the 10-year-old postpone her career after the family-friendly retailer came calling.
Supermodel Cindy Crawford models with her mother and 10-year old daughter Kaia in a new, three generation TV commercial and print ad for a JC Penney Mother's Day promotion.
The video shows her daughter saying things like, "She's so nice and I can actually hang out with her and have fun." Then Crawford talks about the most cherished gift her mom gave to her: Unconditional Love. As her mom sniffles, Crawford says, "Don't cry." Awwwwww, now we're gonna cry!
The video featuring the three generations of awesome genes is part of JCP's Mother's Day campaign for called "Things My Mom Gave Me." And the retailer is giving customers an opportunity to win a $1000 shopping spree by submitting a story to the brand's Facebook page about the greatest gift your mother gave you.
But wait just a minute. The supermodel recently put the kibosh on her daughter's modeling career after the 10-year-old appeared -- wearing a very short skirt and leather jacket -- in a provocative ad for for Versace's new children's line.

In the press release, Crawford raved: “I'm so thrilled that Kaia was chosen to be part of the first Young Versace Campaign. I have so many fond memories of the times I spent with Gianni Versace and Donatella."
But Crawford, 45, who was discovered by a photographer at age 16, changed her mind after the ad came out. “At this point, she's too young to pursue a career," she announced. "There aren't even a handful of jobs for a 10-year-old girl. But if she's 17 and wants to try it, of course, what can I say?"
Maybe JC Penney ads are a little (try a lot) less provocative than Versace. And the video is a very sweet and personal look at the three beautiful ladies.
All we know is that Donatella is probably waiting patiently for little Kaia. "Like her mother, Kaia has a very special gift," Donatella previously raved. "The camera really, really loves her."
