Dita Von Teese Launches Poolside Soiree Series Clad in Jenny Packham
The multitalented burlesque dancer and actress is performing this Wednesday at the Beverly Hills Hotel as the host of Cointreau's kick off to their summer cocktail program.
Dita Von Teese will kick off brand new The Cointreau Poolside Soiree (and subsequent 7 week pool party series, July 13-August 25th) with a never before seen special sultry L.A. performance this week created specifically for the event, incorporating sultry moves, elaborate props and a custom-made costume created by British fashion designer Jenny Packham.

Dita’s performance will pay homage to Margarita Sames, the bon vivant Dallas socialite known for being a lavish entertainer, while also taking inspiration from the Golden Age of Hollywood. Synchronized swimming sensations The Aqualillies will also perform a captivating routine in and around the pool, costumed in 1950s-styled swimsuits. This is a fashion wonderland for lovers of retro Hollywood looks. On or off the stage, Dita Von Teese is one of the world's best dressed women - at least, until she becomes one of the world's best undressed women, where she holds the title in that area, too. Her performance will only kick off the series - the Friday night pool parties will feature The Aqualillies.
Obviously, Cointreau is going to great - and expensive - lengths to promote their new summer cocktail program at the hotel: mixologists will be on-hand to craft new Cointreau drinks like the "the Sunset Margarita" (watermelon inflused with Agave Blanco Tequlia, Cointreau, lime juice and homemade raspberry syrup) in a style reminiscent of classic cocktail making. After Wednesday night's kick off on July 11, the events will take place on Friday nights at the Beverly Hills Hotel pool through August 24.
Names on the RSVP list for this private, opening night, invitee-only, event on July 11 include Natalie Portman (who turns out to be one of Von Teese's Los Angeles' neighbors), Mary-Louise Parker of Weeds, Regina King from Southland. Luca Ellis, a Frank Sinatra-style crooner, will perform a set for guests at the famed Beverly Hills Hotel Cabanas.
