The Making of an A-List Fashionista: Kerry Washington
The "Django Unchained" star wore three spring 2013 European labels while promoting the Quentin Tarantino epic.
In 2012, we noticed Kerry Washington wore some pretty chic little numbers, including the feisty and flirty peach embellished Gucci cocktail dress she donned to October's Art & Film Ball at LACMA. But now, while out promoting the awards season feature Django Unchained, she's pretty much outdone herself in three spring 2013 looks, all very different, all with European origins worn to European premieres.

At the film's Paris premiere, she wore one of our favorite (and not worn enough) labels, Rochas, out of the French capital -- a very dramatic spring 2013 gown done in a tiny blue and green floral on white. It's got an amazing sweetheart neckline, very sexy (shaped like a heart), a tiny little tight waist, and a full full ballgown skirt. For a while, she covered it up with a black evening coat, hair up in a chic ballerina bun, with stunning earrings. For a daytime event in Rome, she donned this slightly wild Peter Pilotto (British) black-and-white checked dress with green ruffle peplums -- not an easy look, but she does it with ease. Then, at nighttime for the Rome premiere of the Tarantino film, she wore a sleek, white Prada spring 2013 gown with a very open back, pictured above.
Notice the Parisian designer worn in Paris, Italian designer worn in Rome -- not stupid, and also, not boring. Kerry kept it fresh every time she stepped out, never repeating a silhouette or a color, and always looking very fashion forward.
