'Downton Abbey's' Michelle Dockery Poses With Sofia Vergara, Julianna Margulies, Claire Danes (Poll)

Lady Grantham would be horrified to see Lady Mary cavorting under the sheets with some of TV's most popular actresses.

Lady Mary Crawley has lost all sense of decorum. She's removed far more than just her corset for her cover shot on the TV issue of Vanity Fair.

Downton Abbey star Michelle Dockery poses -- definitely topless and perhaps (shudder) naked -- wearing only a diamond ring and bracelet -- under a satin bed sheet.

In bed with her; three equally hot (and bare) TV actresses, Julianna Margulies (The Good Wife), Claire Danes (Homeland) and Sofia Vergara (Modern Family). Oh, and inside the mag is a two-page spread featuring lingerie-clad actresses from The Big Bang Theory, Revenge, Curb Your Enthusiasm, How I Met Your Mother, Two and a Half Men, Breaking Bad, Mad Men and Shameless.

While we’re accustomed to seeing Hollywood actresses in provocative poses, it’s a bit of a rattle of the tea pot for fans of the award-winning British show to see Miss Dockery in such a state.

But then again, there was that regrettable death of a certain man while in the bedroom of Lady Mary, so there’s definitely more to her than meets the eye. Still, we do wonder what Lady Grantham would say about this. We can only imagine the multiple eye rolls.

At any rate, Dockery's appearance on the cover with top U.S. actresses means that she’s definitely crossed the pond in popularity. She’s also been on the U.S. talk show circuit, making recent guest appearances on The View and The Late Show with David Letterman.

The actress, born in Essex explained to Letterman: "I come from a very working class background, so my family would've been downstairs in the past. People are often surprised to hear I'm not actually posh."

It’s also not surprising that her co-star Dan Stevens who plays Matthew Crawley, has already signed with U.S. talent agency WME.

We expect to see more of these two in Hollywood productions very soon. But tell us: Will that ruin fans perception of the actors on the show?

What do you think?
