Ginnifer Goodwin is among that set of actresses who are true fashionistas down to their toes: Cate Blanchett, Nicole Kidman, Emma Stone, Michelle Williams, Keira Knightly -- these women know their clothes, love great designers -- and really know how to pull off a left of center look. Goodwin proved it once again at the AMA's in pink embroidery encrusted resort 2013 Oscar de la Renta cocktail dress.

It was SO wildly against trend: high necked (like many dresses that are coming for spring -- trend alert), had a slightly higher waist than most fit n' flare dresses -- short sleeves -- and made her look a bit doll-like. Almost like a Margaret Keane big-eyed doe-eyed girl portrait.

Bloggers who loved Ke$ha didn't get Goodwin's look -- but why would they? Did you see GG's under eye painted on eyelashes a la Twiggy? She was totally working an early sixties Twiggy look. With the short dress, her legs looked much longer.

For this particular look Goodwin worked with with stylist Elizabeth Stewart -- who's known for her work with Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Chastain, Amanda Seyfried, Cate Blanchett and Viola Davis.   And it seems Ginnifer procured her fabulous black and green Gucci black feather ensemble for the LACMA & Film Ball on her own, working directly with a team from Gucci.  She built her stylish look for years with Penny Lovell, who's doing such a bang-up job with Rose Byrne, Bella Heathcote and Alicia Vikander - and it seems the two will still collaborate on some projects.
