Three's a Trend: Rooney Mara Loves Cut Out Sides
The actress, who shares a stylist with Mia Wasikowska, is developing her "look" in revealing red carpet gowns.
Rooney Mara shares a stylist with Mia Wasikowska, and this guy (who wishes to remain anonymous) has got an interesting way of branding his A-list clients.

Wasikowska always looks young and fresh and girly; while Mara -- with her assymetrical black hair, weird brows, white skin and tiny little body -- is going a bit Goth and off kilter. She can totally pull it off.
For the London premiere of Dragon Tattoo, she wore a white Givenchy couture with cut out sides. Next, she wore a black cut out Roksanda Illincic jumpsuit -- very geometric and a bit eighties tough (Lisbeth would approve).

But the spring 2012 Prabal Gurung black silk crepe dress with graphic inserts and flutter sleeves is the most skin-revealing yet. We have to to say, we haven't seen a dress this cool on a red carpet -- well, since whatever the last thing Kate Moss wore was.
What's working for Mara is she's keeping it consistent and really developing a "look," though it isn't for everyone. The tough girl punk was fall 2010's look; we're in a much more "lady" moment now.
STORY: Rooney Mara Can't Shake Lisbeth Salander's 'Girl With the Dragon Tattoo' Style
You have to wonder what Jesse Eisenberg's thinking when he's seeing these photos; her Social Network co-star probably cannot believe how much she's changed. When The Hollywood Reporter spoke with Christopher Plummer about his SAG nom for Beginnings, he also mentioned his role in Dragon Tattoo, adding "And Rooney Mara is really incredible in it. Just remarkable."
She's obviously pretty good at clothes too.
