Golden Globes 2013: Jennifer Lawrence's Dior Dress the Talk of Social Media
Data shows that the "Silver Linings Playbook" winner's fiery red frock dominated online chatter about who wore what.
When Jennifer Lawrence announced that she "beat Meryl" while accepting her best-actress trophy for Silver Linings Playbook, she also dominated the competition in another category, frothier but no less competitive. Yes, we're talking fashion.
The 22-year-old ingenue sported a red-hot Dior gown with a pronounced bodice and black belt; the ensemble, much like the "Girl on Fire" getup worn by her Hunger Games alter ego Katniss Everdeen, stirred up the most conversation on social media, at least judging from real-time data by Attensity Media's Natural Language and Sentiment Analysis Engine.

Measuring the chatter online, the group found that the majority of the talk centered on the designer Dior, which was also worn by Rust and Bone nominee Marion Cotillard, who opted for a vibrant orange over poppy-red and a less flashy style. Given that Lawrence's best actress win was one of the night's most-tweeted about events, it's safe to assume that she stole most of the red-carpet thunder.
The next most-talked about label was Tom Ford, sported by both Julianne Moore (a winner for HBO's Game Change) and Bradley Cooper (a nominee for Silver Linings).
Then there was Alexander McQueen, the label whose gold-accented black column gowns were sported by Nicole Kidman and Kate Hudson, and Marchesa, which decked out Amy Adams in a pale ballerina pink concoction.
