At Sunday night's Golden Globe Awards, there were several supershort cuts, notably on Girls' TV comedy winner Lena Dunham and Les Miserables best actress in a musical or comedy winner Anne Hathaway.
And there were loads of lovely, long, loose hairdos worn by Kate Hudson, Rachel Weisz, Megan Fox and Jennifer Lopez, to name a few.
But some of the hottest hairstyles we saw were interesting both coming and going. In other words, they were updos with intriguingly rolled, twisted and tucked buns, worn either low or high.
British singer Adele -- Globe winner for her Skyfall theme song -- wore a real eye-catcher that created length in her neck, making her look quite slim in her black Burberry gown, Van Cleef and Arpel jewels and Miu Miu shoes. Her makeup and hair were created by Michael Ashton for Michael Ashton Beauty.
Julianne Moore did a modern take on the classic French twist to coordinate with her elegant Tom Ford black-and-white long-sleeved gown.
And The Master star Amy Adams sported a side-parted wavy ethereal style with a low knotted bun that left tendrils, which suited her pale pink Marchesa gown with a full fishtail tulle skirt.
Which updos get the thumbs up from you: Amy Adams', Adele's or Julianne Moore's?
