There are always a few actresses who feel that their long hair should be their crowning glory, even on the red carpet

While some actresses opted for elaborate updos (Charlize Theron, Angelina Jolie and Kate Beckinsale come to mind), several top fashion plates preferred to let it all hang loose, despite the forecast for a little rain at last night's Golden Globe Awards (Jan 15).

Salma Hayek wore her dark hair long, full and unencumbered atop her sparkled bodice Gucci gown. Supermodel Elle MacPherson -- who will host a new reality show, Fashion Star, on NBC -- clearly believes that bigger is better, poofing up her long beach-blonde tousled waves, perhaps to balance the size of her white Zac Posen gown's ruffled fishtail hem.

And Jessica Biel let her darker brunette locks flow free atop her high neck ivory lace Elie Saab dress that had a touch of Little House on Prairie feel to it. Not that that's a bad thing.
