Gwyneth Paltrow Confronts Sheer Dress 'Disaster' on Ellen
The 'Iron Man 3' actress tells the show host the surprising prep she needed before walking the red carpet in the sheer-paneled Antonio Berardi gown: "Everyone went scrambling for a razor."
It's tough being a girl; just ask Gwyneth Paltrow. The Iron Man 3 actress — who turned heads at the film's premiere on Wednesday in a provocative, sheer paneled Antonio Berardi gown — apparently had to quickly groom her, uh, lady parts before she put on the dress. Normally there wouldn't be a major rush for such things. But as Paltrow's peek-a-boo gown couldn't be worn with underwear, one wrong leg cross would have caused a scandal the size of Paris Hilton getting out of a car circa 2004.
"I kind of had a disaster," the actress told Ellen DeGeneres while appearing on her show on Thursday. "Let's just say everyone went scrambling for a razor."
The actress told the host that she went from "being the most beautiful to the most humiliated in one day." She was just named People Magazine's Most Beautiful Woman of 2013.
"Oy. You certainly don't take care of yourself," Ellen joked to the 40-year-old mother of two, who is known for a toned figure that rivals many half her age. She pointed out that Paltrow's dress was only sheer on the sides of her legs. Which, as far as bikini-area grooming needs are concerned, is, uh, concerning. "What was going on?"
Paltrow laughed.
"I have a '70s vibe."
Well then. Now we know which organic super foods Paltrow feeds her children, the intimate details of her last miscarriage and, as of today, that she likes to keep things natural down below.
