Hot Boutique Seaside Luxe Opens an L.A. Holiday Pop-Up Shop

Founder and buyer Lee Ann Sauter shares her packing advice and top resort picks from her in-hotel retail concept shop, which can now be found in L.A. for a limited time.

Retail destination Seaside Luxe is the perfect place for vacationing fashionistas to satiate shopping urges. The luxury boutique--founded by Lee Ann Sauter in 2008, can be found in upscale hotels such as the Four Seasons Resort in Hualalai and Maui and the Terannea Resort in Palos Verdes. Starting Nov. 18-Jan. 15, L.A. locals won’t need to plan a vacation to snag some of the shop’s goods, as the boutique will be taking over a space in the Brentwood Country Mart (225 26th Street, Santa Monica, CA 90402).

The pop-up shop will feature the same designer apparel, jewelry and accessories (think Alexis Bittar, Joie, Alice and Olivia, Tibi and Vince, among others), found in the boutique’s other locations—which have been frequented by celebs such as Cameron Diaz, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Megan Fox and Sarah Michelle Gellar.

But for those who are heading out for a luxe holiday vacation, Sauter shares her packing tips and top resort picks (men should never leave home without bright button down shirts and women should always have a comfortable wrap) exclusively to THR.

Travel Together: If you don’t have your loved ones, family or best friends to share experiences with, traveling the world just isn’t as fun.

Extras: Pack at least one extra outfit in your carry-on tote, in case you get stuck on a long layover. (This has happened to me too many times to count!) I bring my most comfortable pair of Christian Louboutin pumps, Stella McCartney navy blazer, Elizabeth and James sunglasses, and a staple trouser like Alice + Olivia pants.

Remember Resort Essentials: Make sure you have chic resort accessories, especially if you’re heading somewhere tropical and exotic. I pack my favorite Missoni headband, my staple Eres swimsuit, my cream colored cashmere Hermes pashmina in case the weather turns chilly, all tucked away in my favorite navy Celestina Croc Tote with gold accents!

Always Be Fresh: Pack a good facial moisturizer and facial spray in your carry on: My moisturizer is Chanel and face spray is by L’oeil Du Vert.

Never Leave Home Without: I never leave home without my Clarisonic Opal. For those frequent travelers, you know eye swelling can be an issue. The Opal keeps my eyes smooth, reduces all puffiness and is a real lifesaver.

“His/Her Top Resort Picks”:

His:
Jack Spade travel dopp kit, SeeVees men’s boat shoes, Vilebrequin printed swim trunks, Ray Ban aviator sunglasses, Taylor Vintage reversible men’s shorts, Frank and Eileen men’s bright button down shirts.

Hers: Magashoni cashmere wrap in any color – perfect for the plane or touring around town, Mymu wedges, So De Mel navy swimsuit, Pucci cotton cover-up, Tom Ford sunglasses, Albertus Swanepoel sun hat.
