At Saturday's Independent Spirit Awards in Santa Monica, attendees including Brittany Snow and best actress nominee Mary Elizabeth Winstead looked ready for the start of spring in pastel dresses with decidedly different undertones. With Snow sporting a soft, lacy pink and nude frock by Naeem Khan and Winstead in a more artful, blue Pucci cocktail dress.

Winstead, who was nominated for an Indie Spirit for her work in Smashed, highlighted her look with bold accessories -- a yellow and gold clutch by Thale Blanc and Kimberly McDonald baubles.

Snow, on the other hand, kept a more traditional pastel aesthetic with a blush-toned Nancy Gonzales minaudiere and flesh-toned, gold-accented Jimmy Choo sandals.
