Jessica Chastain Had 30 Minutes to Get Ready for Her 'Zero Dark Thirty' LA Premiere
Her Elie Saab blue lace gown matched the actress's intensely blue eyes, which costar Kyle Chandler said distracted him during their scenes.
Talk about a quick change artist.
Jessica Chastain had precious little time to prepare for her red-carpet walk at the Mon., Dec. 10 premiere of Zero Dark Thirty in L.A.
But you would never have known by looking at the cool and collected redhead, who wore a stunning sheer blue lace dress from Elie Saab, accented with Harry Winston jewels and Charlotte Olympia shoes.

Elizabeth Stewart, one of The Hollywood Reporter’s Top Power Stylists, who has worked with Chastain for some time, explained the watch-the-clock dilemma.
“Since Jessica is doing the play [The Heiress] in New York, she was in and out of L.A. in a day. I saw on her schedule that we had only thirty minutes to prepare for the premiere. So I wanted something fabulous but easy. The dress fit like a dream, the color was amazing on Jessica and there you go!.”

Blue is certainly a fantastic color for Chastain, whose blue eyes drove her Thirty costar to distraction.
"She is very difficult to work with and I'll tell you why. The scene, especially when you get up close to her, it's very hard to do because her eyes are so intensely blue, you fall into them. Literally," Kyle Chandler has explained.
"When you watch the scene where we go at each other... [I can watch myself and know] that's when I was like, 'Okay, how deep do your eyes ... how far do they go? My God! I see the back of your skull.' It's incredible.”

Chastain, recognized last year by the Screen Actors Guild for her supporting role in The Help, has already received a SAG Best Actress Award nom for Thirty. And If the actress – who was also Oscar-and Globe-nominated for The Help -- continues to nab more nods, there will be even more quick changes in her future.
The Heiress doesn’t close until Feb. 10. The Golden Globes are Jan 12. And the Screen Actors Guild Awards are on Jan 27. Thankfully, the Oscars are not until Feb 24. Then she can relax and take her time.
