Jessica Simpson's $3 Million Dollar Weight Watchers Gig Not a Done Deal
The singer/actress is in talks with the company to shed weight after giving birth, but there's no ink yet.
Pregnant Jessica Simpson has reportedly signed a deal with Weight Watchers for an estimated $3 million. Except that according to our highly placed sources, there is no deal. Yet.
"She is in talks with Weight Watchers but that's all," says a source close to Simpson. The deal would be a great idea since Simspon hasn't bothered to control cravings during her pregnancy, admitting to Rachel Ray that she's been chowing down on toasted peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. She added: "And then, I'll put some salt on my hand like I'm taking a tequila shot and then take a bite of the sandwich."

According to Page Six, the recording star/actress has gotten offers from a several weight-loss programs. So maybe there's a bidding war?
The actress who has taken flack for weight fluctuations during her career (remember those Mom Jeans?) may have more than a monetary reason to consider the brand ambassador WW gig: Simpson hopes to wed fiancé Eric Johnson after she gives birth.
STORY: Kelly Preston Signs On As Spokesperson of Kristie Alley's Organic Weight Loss Program
Hey, Weight Watchers certainly worked out well for singer Jennifer Hudson. And vice versa. She's another brand ambassador who lost weight after giving birth to her son and is now runway model skinny, though Hudson never actually revealed precisely how much weight she lost. She continued to stress that she wanted to be healthier, not skinnier. "I want my family and my friends to learn good habits," the "empowered" Hudson said in just about every interview she did.
Carrie Fisher successfully dropped 30 lbs after 18 weeks on the Jenny Craig diet, which must have been a relief to the company after their celeb spokeswoman Kirstie Alley regained the weight (and more) landing on the dance floor with a loud thump during a treacherous Dancing With The Stars episode.

Alley then launched her own Organic Weight Loss Program and got fellow Scientologist Kelly Preston involved in it. The Fresh Diet folks also parted ways with its famous spokesdieter, pop musician Carnie Wilson, after she gained weight while under contract to them.
Jenny Craig's current losers include Fisher, Valerie Bertinelli, Sara Rue, Jason Alexander, actress Nicole Sullivan and reality show personality and Chelsea Lately regular, Ross Mathews.
Must be nice to get paid to lose weight, right? This is the only time we are ever jealous of celebrities. Ok, it's not the only time. We totally lied.
