Jessica Biel shunned tradition during her fairytale Italian wedding, opting for a custom, petal pink -- not white -- Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown paired with a long veil on her big day.
The bride and groom revealed the first photos from the Oct. 19 celebration in a colorful People cover and inside spread. On the cover, Biel appears seated in front of a mantle, holding a bouquet of white flowers in her hands while her husband -- ever the showman -- jumps for joy.
Biel wasn’t the only one donning a custom-made ensemble for the occasion. Justin Timberlake looked dapper in a classic black Tom Ford tux, complete with bowtie, that he helped design.
“It was a really special evening,” Timberlake, 31, tells the mag.
Adds Biel, 30, “It was a total fantasy experience.”
Timberlake, who has long been absent from the music scene in favor of pursuing an acting career, made headlines following the event. Not only for tying the knot, but also for serenading his new wife with a new song.
“It was an original piece I wrote specifically for the evening and for her,” Timberlake said of the tune, which he performed – guitar in hand – as Biel walked down the aisle.
The duo welcomed 100 guests to the Borgo Egnazia resort in southern Italy for the festivities, including close pals Jimmy Fallon, Andy Samberg, Timbaland and Biel’s 7th Heaven costar Beverley Mitchell.
“It was a lot to ask of them to travel, so we figured we’d at least give our guests a good party!” says Timberlake.
The photos sold to People in the U.S. for a reported $300,000 (small pennies compared to the $1 million the publication paid for Anna Nicole Smith and Howard K. Stern’s 2006 wedding), and to OK! in Europe for an undisclosed amount.
