Kanye West's New Nike Air Yeezy II Sneakers Will Set You Back $250

The rapper/fashion designer's second pair of Nike sneaks may quadruple in price on eBay, just like his first pair did.

Kanye West’s latest fashion project, which isn't with his new girlfriend and fellow fashionista Kim Kardashian, is about to hit Nike boutiques June 9.

This is the rapper's second sneaker for the athletic footwear giant. So naturally it's called the Nike Air Yeezy II. The shoe is inspired by the late '80s cross trainers (in truth, it looks like a shoe we wore to aerobics class) and it has "anaconda textured leather." It was also – according to the press release – especially tailored to fit Kanye’s slimmer foot. Okay, creepy and way TMI.

West has become quite the high-fashion force. In just two short years, he’s launched his women’s clothing line, Dw, which has shown -- despite unfavorable reviews -- twice during Paris Fashion Week.

He also soaked up some chic from sitting in the front rows of runway shows for Givenchy, Celine, Marc Jacobs, Jean Paul Gaultier, Chanel, Yves Saint Lauren, Louis Vuitton, Vivienne Westwood, Balmain, Jean Charles de Csatelbajac, Dior, John Galliano (before all that anti-Semitic smack talk) and Azzedine Alaia.

The Air Yeezy II will retail for $250. But even if you line up right now outside your local Nike boutique, you still won’t be the first to wear these pricey sneakers. West's celebrity BMFs got first crack. LeBron James was spotted wearing his free pair of black Air Yeezy II and Jay-Z has been seen wearing an advance gratis platinum pair. No one said life was going to be fair.

If West's second sneakers are anything like the first Air Yeezy, which hit the shelves for $220 and went on eBay for $1,000, they will also quadruple in price. It just might be worth waiting outside the Nike boutiques June 9.
