Karl Lagerfeld may be the doyenne of Chanel clothing, but he has nothing to do with the house’s best selling scents – many of which were created by Mademoiselle Coco Chanel herself.
But that didn’t stop Lagerfeld from creating a perfume of his own, called Karleidoscope by Karl Lagerfeld. It will be released next week, and of course, Karl shot the ad campaign himself, as he’s a pro photographer and shoots all the Chanel campaigns.
One thing that’s interesting: this ad, with model Bianca Baldi, is not your typical fragrance ad – it’s not shot in the woods, it has no flowers, no sexy man with no shirt on, no main in a suit chasing a woman – it has absolutely no cliché’s at all. Let’s hope the fragrance is as original.
