Kate Middleton Rocks '40s Retro Peplum Jacket
The Duchess of Cambridge may be one of the few women on the planet who can pull off a fitted peplum jacket, this one in the blue she has been favoring of late.
The Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton and Queen Elizabeth both wore hats by the same designer -- James Lock -- to the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebration in Leicester, England today.
But their outfits were quite different. So were the lengths.
Kate chose an above-the-knee blue teal peplum ‘40s style suit by L.K. Bennett. The ensemble consisted of the 'Jude' jacket (around $600) and 'Davina' dress (around $350), and it certainly showed off her shapely figure and enviable stems.
The Queen, 85, wore a vibrant hot pink cashmere dress and mid-calf coat with black trim by Angela Kelly. We think she looked absolutely smashing!
Both royals traveled together by train to Leicester to visit various parts of the city as part of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, celebrating her 60 years on the throne.
If you want the look, the 'Davina' dress is still available on the L.K. Bennett website, though not in teal. We've noticed that blue is rapidly becoming Kate’s signature color as she has worn varying shades of the hue in recent months.
Tell us: What do you think of her teal peplum jacket? Would you wear that style?
