Kate Middleton has been quite the topic of conversation today, after a French magazine published topless long lens paparazzi photos of the Duchess of Cambridge on holiday in the Luberon area of Provence (otherwise known as author Peter Mayle country).

But let’s take the high road, leaving all the legal and moral discussion of this to others, and focus on how amazing -- and unrattled -- the duchess looked at a Diamond Jubilee tea at the British High Commission in Kuala Lumpur Friday.

Smiling and laughing, Kate donned an elegant pale blue dress by Alice Temperley and wore her hair up in a bun festooned with pearls. Among the many guests she convivially chatted with: the real shoemaker, Jimmy Choo.

Choo no longer has any affiliation with the brand that still bears his name. But he worked with Princess Diana for seven years before her death. He told The Daily Mail that he saw a lot of Diana in Kate.

"She is an absolutely beautiful person both inside and out. Very much like Prince’s William’s mother. They are both elegant and wear fashion well, but, most importantly, are very caring people inside, which is why they appear so beautiful in public."

The Duchess is batting 1000 on the first leg of her 9-day tour of Southeast Asia and the South Pacific with husband Prince William. A few days ago in Singapore, she wore a colorful Prabal Gurung wool and silk shift, just three days after A-listers Rachel Zoe, Kate Bosworth and Hailee Steinfeld sat in the front row of designer’s New York Fashion Week runway show.

Gurung was a wise choice of designer, as he was born in Singapore and raised in Nepal. The Parsons School of Design graduate launched his line in the U.S. in 2009.

Middleton also fueled pregnancy rumors in Singapore when she twice toasted the Queen of Singapore with water instead of wine (isn't that supposed to be bad luck?) and then reportedly left her wine glass untouched during dinner.

Although, judging from those  previously mentioned and heinously invasive topless photos, there is certainly no sign of any baby bump on Middleton's taut and toned abdomen.
