Dress Du Jour, Double Edition: Kate Young and Michelle Williams

While celebrating the Kate Young for Target launch in NYC on Tuesday night, the super stylist and her famous client both wore Kate Young for Target (duh).

The Wearers: Stylist Kate Young, who clocked in at number four on this year's THR Top 25 Most Powerful Hollywood Stylists List, with movie star client Michelle Williams.

The Dresses: One of the outfits that's part of this latest Dress du Jour technically isn't a dress at all (way to be, Michelle Williams), but rather a pair of Kate Young for Target navy satin shorts ($29.99) paired with a black polka dot print body suit ($29.99) and a cream satin blazer ($49.99), also from the collection. Young wears the same less-than-$30 mesh-top body suit layered under a strapless black bow dress ($59.99) that's part of her soon to be released line for the retail giant.

The Occasion: To celebrate the impending April 14 roll out of Young's Target goods, the mega store threw a Tuesday night bash at school-turned-Nolita events space, Old School. Young tapped man-about-town/ fashion writer Derek Blasberg to co-host, and attendees included House of Cards star Kate Mara, budding It-girl Atlanta de Cadenet, Maggie Gyllenhaal, designer (and Target collab alumni) Jason Wu and of course, Williams

Why We Dig: Williams' satin shorts evoke a decidedly 1940s feel, while her blazer is perfectly preppy for spring. And Young's cheeky, spirited party dress makes us want to go to a Bat Mitzvah and do the electric slide. We have our eyes on a few other pieces from the line, too — including a beaded yellow dress ($59.99) and one-shoulder star print maxi ($89.99) that we plan on picking up on an errand run come April 14, along with a value-sized package of paper towels, shaving cream and some gum.
