'Dead Accounts' Starring Katie Holmes to Close on Broadway

First came her brand ambassador deal with Bobbi Brown Cosmetics; the actress now serves as the first celebrity face of the renowned natural-look cosmetic line.

This week it was announced that Holmes will become the spokesperson and co-owner of the natural hair company Alterna. According to the multiyear deal, Holmes will appear in Alterna’s first print ad campaign. And she also will give input and insight on new products and consumer initiatives.

This collaboration is strikingly similar to the one Jennifer Aniston has with hair-care company Living Proof. She's also a co-owner and a brand ambassador with input into new products and campaigns. She even brought her longtime hairdresser, Chris McMillan, on board last week as the line's celebrity stylist.

Holmes raved about the Alterna products to WWD: “I love that Alterna uses natural and organic ingredients and stays away from harsh chemicals like sulfates and parabens. It’s good for my hair and good for the Earth, so I feel good using it.”

She also credits the line for her lustrous locks. “Alterna products have transformed my hair,” Holmes said, naming the Caviar and Bamboo lines as favorites. Holmes also revealed that she long had used Bobbi Brown makeup after she was named the face of the cosmetic line.
