Keith Richards' Daughter Theodora Richards Models for Skaist-Taylor (Video)
The offspring of a Rolling Stone and a '70s supermodel is the perfect choice to model the California Eccentric collection from the LA designers who gave us Juicy Couture.
Have you heard of the fashion line Skaist-Taylor? Probably not. But you probably will, especially if you live in Los Angeles.
Creators Pamela Skaist-Levy and Gela Nash-Taylor are best known as the designers of a little ever-so-slightly successful line called called Juicy Couture -- Oh, so NOW you remember them. How many of you wore Juicy Couture on your velour-track suited behind? Raise your hands. Wow, that many!
The BFFs sold Juicy a few years ago and launched their new "California eccentric" line called Skaist-Taylor during the New York fashion week this past spring. The designers showed in a parking garage beneath Lincoln Center, and guests were greeted by the lyrics of The Beatles' song “Because the Sky is Blue” with wall projections resembling the redwood forest.

A soft-focus film of the Skaist-Taylor collection worn by Theodora Richards (Patti Hansen and Keith Richards’ daughter) played, creating a dreamy fashion flashback to the hippy-dippy peace and love fashions of the late ‘60-early 70's.
We can’t think of a more perfect model for this collection than the daughter of Richards and Hansen, a former supermodel and Vogue cover girl in her own right. We bet Patti and Keith love the collection, too.
Long, straight haired skinny models wore '70s-style pantsuits, flowing assymetrtical skirts and high-low dresses, off-the-shoulder blouses topped by furry vests, with the designers special touch, hammered gold knuckle rings adorning every models’ fingers.
Attending the show were Sandra Bernhard, Anna Wintour, Duran Duran star John Taylor, who is married to Gela, and that fashion flashback lover herself, stylist/designer Rachel Zoe, who has long been obsessed with '70s retro chic.
The clothes are already available at NeimanMarcus and at Net-a-Porter. Prices aren't bad either (a fur shrug, back-tie cardigan and leather pencil skirt for $440 - $2,150 and a sequin-sleeve blouse and washed leather skinny pants for $655 - $1,1200).
Check out the whole collection (and more fun "nowness" videos) at the Skaist-Taylor website.
