L.A. Eveningwear Designer Kevan Hall to Give Runway Show on Dec. 5
The designer will show new gowns and his bridal collection not during Fashion Week or bridal week -- but just before awards season.
The most recent gown wins: That's the philosophy of awards season stylists and stars when it comes to what to wear on a major red carpet. They'll plan ahead, they'll have fittings, they'll have a shortlist, they'll commission gowns -- but usually they fall in love and wear the most recent dress they've seen. Hollywood has a short memory.
This could be why L.A.-based eveningwear designer Kevan Hall is showing his spring 2013 runway presentation -- with gowns from his Kevan Hall White Label bridal collection -- on Dec. 5 at his atelier on Beverly Boulevard in West Hollywood. It's being presented by the American Gem Trade Association. Gems, weddings -- it all goes together.

Hall's classic gowns in great colors have been worn by the likes of Vanessa Williams. He's one of the few Los Angeles designers who create great gowns. The other two would be Monique Lhuillier and J.C. Obando.
Let's see how the December show date works out for Hall when it comes to Critics Awards, the Golden Globes and other soon-to-come black-tie events.
