Kim Kardashian, Kanye West Could Be Fashion's Hot New Power Couple (Video)
The reality star has two affordable retail clothing lines, K-Dash and Kardashian Kollection, and the rapper recently launched his own upscale label. Match made in fashion heaven?
As we previously reported, Kanye West has a thing for Kim Kardashian. The two were spotted on their way out of a dinner-and-a-movie date to see The Hunger Games in New York City on Wednesday night, according to reports, and he mentions his "love" for the reality star in his newly release single "Theraflu."
Kardashian recently told British Cosmo that she wasn’t dating or looking for a soulmate, so it's possible that the two are, in celeb-speak, "just friends." No response thus far from Kardashian's publicist. But we'd like to go on the record as saying that a Kardashian-West match is one practically designed in fashion heaven.

Not only does West have that all-important "K" in his name, but they share a serious passion for fashion. Kardashian has two successful retail clothing lines, K-Dash on QVC and the Kardashian Kollection label at Sears (lingerie, swimwear, clothing, etc). Meanwhile, West is in his second season showing his high-priced womenswear line (called Kanye West) in Paris.
His fall/winter 2012 Collection was one of the hot tickets during the Paris Fashion Week last month. Models Jordann Dunn, Karlie Kloss, Joan Smalls and Abbey Lee Kershaw showcased the rapper's sleek leather and fur designs on a dry-ice catwalk.
While the reviews weren't exactly stellar, The Daily Beast's Robin Givhan tweeted that Kanye showed improvement but still lacked his own stamp: "Kanye West: a little Givenchy, a little Costume National. Will the real Kanye please stand up?"

Still, West's front row was filled with fashion heavy hitters and celebs including Diddy, Alicia Keys, Common, Rosario Dawson, Katy Perry and all-powerful Vogue editors Anna Wintour and Andre Leon Talley. “I’m very fond of Kanye,” Wintour said at the time.
West's shoe collaborator, Guiseppe Zanotti, sat near Hollywood billionaire Ron Burkle and designers Silvia Fendi, Ricardo Tisci and Azzedine Alaia. And Kardashian was front-and-center and head-to-toe in Kanye's latest designs, including a $6,000 pair of knit heels that even the experienced runway models had trouble walking in.
But back to the alleged romance. According to his latest single, "Theraflu," West has had designs (pun intended) on the reality star for quite some time.
Here are the telling lyrics: "And I admit I fell in love with Kim ... 'Round the same time she fell in love with him," he raps, referring to Kardashian's ex-husband, Kris Humphries.

Sounds like love to us. Plus their pillow talk can always include the benefits of darts, the challenge of peplums, the intricacies of raglan sleeves, and whether or not to raise or lower hemlines. Also: who to hire to design their clothes so they can just put their names on the lines and make a bundle.
