Kristen Stewart Poses How She Wants For Balenciaga Florabotanica Perfume Ad
Designer Nicolas Ghesquiere told the "Twilight" star to "just be comfortable." So take that, all of the actress' "starving, shit eater" critics.
Kristen Stewart has gotten a lot of flack for the way she poses -- or doesn't pose -- on red carpets and at press events.
But she finally got to stand the way she wanted to in her first ad for Balenciaga’s new Florabotanica fragrance.
The Twilight and Snow White and the Huntsman actress, 22, wears a structured Balenciaga short floral dress and low black boots, hands in pockets, standing —and staring -- straight at the camera.

”When I first stood there, I was like, ‘OK, do you want me to show the curves of the dress? Do you want me to stand like this? Like that?’ And they were like, ‘Just be comfortable,’” Stewart told Vanity Fair.
"I have been criticized a lot for not looking perfect in every photograph,” she added. “I get some serious shit about it. I’m not embarrassed about it. If I took perfect pictures all the time, the people standing in the room with me, or on the carpet, would think, What an actress! What a faker!"
For Stewart, that would be worse than the alternative.
"That thought embarrasses me so much that I look like shit in half my photos, and I don’t give a f---," Stewart said. "I don’t care about the voracious, starving shit-eaters who want to turn truth into shit."
According to the fragrance's press release, the new scent has notes of vetiver, amber and caladium-leaf accord, a (hybrid) rose, carnation and mint accord.
“There is something natural about it,” Stewart said of the fragrance. “It’s very alive. I think that as a young person wearing it — considering that I’ve never worn a scent — it kind of puts you on this level of, like, ‘Whoa, check me out.’”

Designer Nicolas Ghesquière says he had Stewart on his radar way before she became Forbes highest paid actress in Hollywood.
He told WWD he had been impressed with Stewart in 2002, when she played Jodie Foster’s boyish daughter in the Panic Room. “I remember thinking, ‘Wow, I would like to do something with her one day,” he said. “She’s so Balenciaga.”
And Stewart praised Ghesquiere's aesthetic when she was chosen to be the face of the new fragrance in January.
“Even when I first began to consider fashion and admittedly rarely knew the brand I was wearing, I always recognized and loved Balenciaga. I feel drawn to it. It provokes on a number of levels. It isn’t afraid or contrived.”
