Style Notes: Lady Gaga Dons a Vera Wang Wedding Gown, Diana Vreeland Honored on Rodeo Drive

A picture of Lady Gaga in a Vera Wang wedding dress surfaced Wednesday. The singer denies an engagement to boyfriend Taylor Kinney – the pair recently celebrated their one year anniversary -- and said, “It's my best friends wedding, she made us try on dresses.” [CBS News]
Fashion icon Diana Vreeland will be posthumously inducted into the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style on September 10, timed to happen just prior to the opening of the documentary about her, Diana Vreeland: The Eye has to Travel, which will be released September 21. The Empress of Fashion was fashion editor for Harpar Bazaar for 25 years before becoming editor-in-chief of Vogue.
Keira Knightley, Sienna Miller and Kate Moss are among the celebrities who are donating signed shoes to be auctioned by the charity Small Steps Project. The charity is dedicated to helping children and communities living on landfills across the world. A live auction will take place on October 11 with a longer online auction to follow. [Elle UK]
Pictures for the new Jordache campaign featuring Project Runway host Heidi Klum have been released. Mia Michaels of So You Think You Can Dance choreographed the shoot. This is the label’s first print and TV campaign in 20 years. The TV ads are expected to air August 20. Klum also modeled for the brand in 2007. [NY Daily News]
A new love affair is heating up in New York between fashion and tennis. In a nondescript building on 27th Avenue and 8th Street in New York is the Midtown Tennis Club where fashion editors and designers have been spotted on the courts. Some of the regulars are senior vice president of communications at Hermes Peter Malachai, entertainment editor at Vogue Jillian Demling, Vogue editor Anna Wintour, Tommy Hilfiger and Vera Wang. Former OC star Mischa Barton opened a boutique in London. "The brand was born in London, so I wanted [the store] to start here,” she tells Vogue UK. The store will feature bags, clothing aimed at all audiences and cosmetics. Prices range from $40 to $390. The official launch party will be August 11. [Vogue UK]
Bobbi Brown is opening its first ever pop-up shop in New York’s Grand Central Terminal Aug. 20. The 800 square-foot space will feature the entire collection of cosmetics, fragrances and skincare products. Brown’s personal manicurist, Roza Israel, will be at the opening performing ten-minute manicures on a first-come basis, which is typically reserved for Brown and the senior staff. [Elle]
