Lanvin's Alber Elbaz to Launch Makeup Project With Lancome (Video)
Alber Elbaz is putting together a line of Lanvin colors for Lancome this summer.
Brace yourselves: A Lanvin designer is about to come out with something you can actually afford. And we're not talking a $1500 grosgrain rope necklace with faux pearls. The famed Parisian brand known for femininity, whimsy, girlishness and draping -- not to mention rosettes, pearls, and peplums -- will release a cosmetics collection of colors with Lancome June 15.
Does this mean summer colors, or pre-fall? It's hard to say, but it hardly matters. Elbaz somehow manages to imbue both nowness and forever in everything he does, from dresses to shoes to necklaces.
A fun little video teaser for it turned up on YouTube, and it seems turquoise and purple may be Elbaz's picks for eye shadow palettes. But we'll probably see a preview of it when Lanvin shows fall ready to wear 2013 in Paris at the end of February.
