L.A.'s Newest Shopping Destinations
THR reveals designer pop-up’s at several L.A. locations (in addition to a shop at the SLS Hotel).
Savvy shoppers get ready: The Hollywood Reporter has some ideas for finding unique gifts for the holidays at new stores and pop-up shops, which have hit Los Angeles recently. Just remember to hurry and hit the racks, because some of these destinations disappear just as quickly as they “popped-up.”
Shop@Andaz by Alpha: Partnering with local men’s lifestyle brand Alpha, the shop is located in the lobby of the Andaz Hotel, West Hollywood. This spot is a one-stop shop for one-of-a-kind gifts, be it whimsical or practical items. Some store highlights include Jack Spade iPhone cases, the Guitar Collection limited edition book (which features original photography with music documentary throughout) and signed print, Urbanears headphones and more. If Pockets Talked Pop-Up Shop at Milk Boutique: One of the hottest online destinations for unique vintage goods, If Pockets Talked, has paired up with Milk Boutique for its first ever in-store display. The site, favored by celebs such as Nicole Richie—who also hit the opening party—offers pre-owned and new designer pieces (think Hermes Birkin Bags, and dresses, coats and shoes from Balenciaga, Chloe, Chanel, Givenchy and more). The back-drop of Milk boutique--which carries under-the-radar designers such as Fanny and Jessy, AlexxJae &Milk, and Native LA, in addition to Brian Reyes, Sonia Rykiel and more—provides more options for the most stylish shopper. Regalo at The Bazaar by Jose Andres: The sbe Hotel Group has partnered with AHAlife.com, to launch a retail concept in the SLS Hotel. Products within the Philippe Stark-designed space, include recycled wooden watches, AKILLIS fine jewelry, and whistle accessories from the Falling Whistles Campaign (in support of peace in Congo), and many more beauty, tech, jewelry and furniture items (which will be introduced every four weeks).
