Lena Dunham Warns Fashion Critics: 'I'm Going to Show Off My Thighs Until the Day I Die'
After being slammed for showing off a lot of leg, the "Girls" creator noted that a thin girl would not have been so harshly criticized.
Lena Dunham, the Emmy-nominated Girls creator and star, caused a storm of online style snark for recently wearing a long, loose green silk blouse over what appeared to be nothing, but was actually a pair of matching micro-shorts.
The 26-year-old's outfit showed off her not Hollywood-perfect thighs and drew caustic remarks from low-level bloggers such as pophangover.com to the all-powerful, all-aggregating The Huffington Post.

So at this week's The New Yorker Festival, she spoke out about the fashion furor: "Last week, I wore something to an event ... a big top and little shorts, and a bunch of [blog posts] came out that I had been out without pants [trousers]. I actually saw it .. [a headline]: 'Love it or hate it: The no-pants look.'"
“My mom ... thought it was so funny. My boyfriend was like, 'People seem to be worked up about you going out without pants.'
“But I didn’t go out without pants! I had shorts on. If Olivia Wilde had gone to a party in ... little shorts, she might have been on a 'weird-dressed list' or been told her outfit was cute. I don’t think a girl with tiny thighs would have received such no-pants attention. I think what it really was ... 'Why did you all make us look at your thighs?'
"My response is, get used to it because I am going to live to be 100, and I am going to show my thighs every day till I die."

Dunham, who just signed a $3.5 million deal with Random House to write an advice book, frequently is seen naked on her HBO show.
So, like she said: Get used to it, people.
Tell us: Do you agree with Dunham about a thinner girl not getting as much criticism?
