Beverly Center, Forever 21 Draw Big Crowds During Fashion's Night Out L.A.
Lucy Hale hosted and "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star Kendall Jenner walked the carpet, as thousands attended the shopping mall's multiple events.
Fashion's elite and fanatics came out to support an array of causes last night for Fashion's Night Out at the Beverly Center, hosted by Pretty Little Liars’ Lucy Hale. Everyone from reality stars to young designers were out sipping vodka cocktails and white wine at the after party on the eighth-floor deck. Most buzzed about at the Beverly Center: the Forever 21 fashion show from earlier that night.
STORY: Fashion's Night Out Fans Choose Kardashians Over Real Designers
Kendall Jenner (who also stopped by her sisters’ store DASH on Melrose) was the face of FNO on the Beverly Center's advertisements as well as the cover girl for Genlux magazine, the afterparty's sponsor. Wearing a black leather top with a sheer black skirt by designer Keny Cohen of the line Katriel, Jenner walked the red carpet with everyone's favorite "momager" Kris Jenner. The designer, also in attendance, said it was "amazing" to see Jenner in Katriel, adding that events like this "remind people to keep fashion alive and exciting."
Created to encourage consumers to shop and support the fashion industry during tough economic times, FNO happens simultaneously across 18 countries, with thousands of events in the U.S. This is the third FNO for the Beverly Center, with more than 100 stores participating. "Everyone sees what is inspiring to designers and you get inspired yourself,” said young designer Gabrielle De La Garza. “Fashion is so important -- it is an introduction to a person.”
The Forever 21 fashion show most prominently featured ankle booties and colored, printed pants for fall. Model Lee Greene, who walked in the show, said the clothes had a "punk meets rock ‘n’roll and very trendy" feel.
Beach Bunny swimwear had live mannequins in their windows and DJs across the Center, Maybelline had makeup artists on hand at their booth ready to glam up guests and most stores handed out discounts to the thousands of consumers in attendance.
