Madonna Will Present at Golden Globe Awards -- Move Over, Elton John
The Queen of Pop's film "W.E." is nominated for two musical honors during the Sunday, Jan. 15 awards show, where she'll compete with Trent Reznor, Mary J. Blige, Elton John (and maybe Lady Gaga) for Best Original Song.
We've just learned that Madonna will be a presenter at the Golden Globes on Sunday, Jan. 15 which means the red carpet just got way hotter. Her film about the the Duke and Duchess of Windsor's love affair, W.E, is nominated for two Globes, one for Best Original Song (for Madge’s ballad “Masterpiece”, which she co-wrote with Julie Frost and Jimmy Harry, and Best Original Score (Abel Korzeniowski).

Other song nominees include Mary J. Blige’s The Help song, "The Living Proof," and Elton John’s "Hello Hello" from the animated film Gnomeo & Juliet, which was performed as a duet with Lady Gaga.
Wait. A red carpet with Madonna, Elton John and possibly Lady Gaga? Be still my fashion heart. Elton has previously said that he would ask Gaga to perform at the Oscars if they get nominated. So there is suspicion (OK, let's just call it hope) that while the Globes don't do song and dance numbers, she may show up Sunday for moral support.

Given that Madonna was compelled to make W.E. becaues of her longtime obsession with the stylish couple, we also suspect that she may show up in a '30s, '40s style gown a la Wallis Simpson.
She may also -- as she did at the Venice Film Festival when her film screened there last year -- wear some of Cartier's facsimiles of the duchess's iconic jewels made specially for her film, such as the legendary diamond, gold and gemstone cross bracelet and Simpson's Cartier panther ring.
If she does, look out for extra security guards. Even the fakes are priceless. That's why all the facsimiles will be destroyed by Cartier when the film promotion is over. But it ain't over yet!
