Michelle Obama, Jenna Bush Shun Christmas Colors, Pick Floral Prints For 'Today' Show Chat (Video)
Both women dressed a season ahead, picking bright Spring flower prints for their Holiday 2012 chat about the Obama's White House Christmas.
No predictable red dresses, doofy sweaters with holly sprigs and Santa faces for Michelle Obama or Jenna Bush. Both women totally ignored holiday fashion tradition and wore blooming bright springtime florals for their Christmas in the White House chat that aired this morning on NBC’s morning show, Today.
At first glance, they looked more appropriately dressed for a garden party than a Christmas celebration. Michelle wore a pink floral sleeveless dress with a rounded neckline and matching pink earrings. Jenna also picked a busy printed three-quarter sleeved dress in shades of green and blue with sleeves paired with opaque tights.

Jenna explained that they had no idea they were wearing similar prints until they met on the set. “We looked at each other and ‘Oh, we match!”
Turns out that isn't the first time FLOTUS has outfit-coordinated with a Bush daughter. Michelle and Barbara Bush both wore Prabal Gurung together at the White House back in May 2012.
The First Lady described her holiday role as Hostess-in-Chief in preparation for the A White House Christmas: First Families Remember special airing Thursday on NBC.
Sadly, Bo, the First Dog, did not appear in the interview. "Bo is the most popular member of our family,” said Mrs. Obama. But Bo is widely figured in this year’s White House decorations. In the East Room, a life-size Bo replica is the centerpiece, and handmade “Boflakes” hang from the trees, according to a tour book prepared for visitors.
Bo’s also the leading canine of “Bo Ho Ho,” a one-minute video of 2012 White House holiday preparations. Watch and woof.
