Michelle Pfeiffer to Host Pink Awards with Fashions From Barbara Bui, J. Mendel, Stella McCartney
The upcoming event for Breast Cancer Awareness Month -- which will be held on Oct. 27 in Santa Monica -- is turning into a fashion extravaganza.
The Pink Party is nearly upon us -- pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month -- and we certainly saw Michelle Obama and Ann Romney wearing pink at the Hofstra University presidential debates. The L.A. Pink Party will take place on October 27 at Hangar 8 in Santa Monica, and Michelle Pfeiffer is hosting. And there's a confirmed celeb list now of Dennis and Kimberly Quaid, David E. Kelley (producer and Michelle's husband), Marcia Cross, Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann, Michael and Michelle Chiklis, shoe designer Nicholas Kirkwood and the clothing designers Ken Kaufman and Isaac Franco.

What's unique this year -- besides for the fabulous Pfeiffer -- is that it will feature one of the biggest runway shows in L.A. in years. Designers Barbara Bui, Brunello Cucinelli, Chloe, J. Mendel, KaufmanFranco, Kelly Wearstler, Stella McCartney, and Valentino will all be represented on the runway -- and not by one outfit, but by eight to 10 looks from each. A silent auction will feature top designer jewelry, handbags and accessories from Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Chloe, Chanel, Lanvin and more.
The Pink Party benefits the Cedars-Sinai Women’s Cancer Program (WCP) at the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute. Over the past seven years, the event, has raised over $6.5 million dollars for women’s cancer research, working to reduce the threat of cancer to women through education, early detection and prevention.
