As THR predicted, Rihanna, 24, did flaunt her brand new, short hairdo on the MTV Music Video Awards carpet this afternoon. 

And the Twiggy-Mia Farrow-Jean Seberg inspired face-framing certainly suited her sleek, white Prabal Gurung gown with a back that dipped seductively low.

Then she immediately opened the show wearing what looked like a red satin poufy headband to match her red satin gown, with a performance of her new song Cockiness with A$AP Rocky and her hit We Found Love with Calvin Harris.

Rihanna is nominated for several awards tonight, including Video of the Year, Best Female Video, Best Pop Video, and various technical awards for her video We Found Love.

Rihanna is always changing her hairstyles and colors. And she hasn't found one that she doesn't look great in. From long to short, blonde to red, her angelic face is flattered by them all.
