New York Fashion Week: Marc Jacobs Postpones His Show, Not Because of Nemo
Flights to New York have been canceled as the city braces for another devastating storm. Will Fashion Week be a bust because of it?
There's been a bit of nervous buzz about designers canceling their shows due to the blizzard that is predicted to slam Manhattan on Friday.

Marc Jacobs is the first designer to announce that he's postponing his Fall 2013 Fashion Show. His collection, set to be shown at 8 p.m. Monday, has been rescheduled for 8 p.m. Thursday.
But the reason is more due to a flurry of customs and delivery delays than the prospect of blinding, unnavigable snow.
"We’re missing bags, shoes and two fabrics,” Marc Jacobs International president Robert Duffy told WWD.

L.A.-based designer Jenni Kayne won't be at her collection because her flight to New York was canceled. And more Nemo fashion victims -- designers, press and those all-important famous front-row faces -- are expected to be announced.
For now, Jacob's Marc by Marc will conveniently assume the former Marc Jacobs slot on the schedule. Mark your calendars for 8 p.m. Monday. A new location has not been announced.

Duffy released the following statement apologizing for the last-minute change: “Marc and I are extremely sorry for this inconvenience. We just want to have the best show possible and show all the product that our design team has been working on so hard for the last six months. We completely understand if people have to get on a plane to go to London. We’re not expecting people to change those plans or other plans just for us. We are live-streaming the show. Still, we recognize the significant inconvenience and are very sorry about the situation.”
