Tom Ford Profiled By Oprah's OWN

Tom Ford meets Oprah - this is a meeting that was always meant to happen, a friendly clash of the titans. Ford is the subject of the OWN doc series Visionaries: Inside the Creative Mind which airs Sunday October 23. Tyler Perry, James Cameron, will i.am and Annie Leibovitz will all get there own segments, about what inspires these particular artists in their particular disciplines. Ford, never one to hold back in print interviews, spills it a la video on a variety of subjects: the day he left Gucci and YSL, where he was head designer; why he returned to fashion to create his eponymous line Tom Ford, and he gives viewers a tour of his design studio in London.

Sure, you see a lot of would-be designers on shows like Project Runway -- and Michael Kors and others are judges on reality shows. But designers talking about design?
