Oscar Fashion: Emma Stone Copies Nicole Kidman's 2007 Red Gown (Poll)
"The Help" actress horrified fashion critics when she hit the red carpet in a copycat dress, leaving us to wonder: too soon?
Apparently, The Help star Emma Stone didn't watch the 2007 Oscars. Because if she had, she would have seen Nicole Kidman sporting a Balenciaga gown almost identical to her red halter dress with a gigantic red bow on the right shoulder.
At the time, Kidman caught a lot of fashion flack for wearing a bow bigger than her head. But it was an elegant and eye-catching choice.
No question that Stone looked stunning in her red-carpet couture by Giambattista Valli, with Brian Atwood heels and Louis Vuitton bag and jewels.
As for Stone, isn't it too soon for the ingenue to pay homage to Kidman's bold style? (Five years does not a vintage retro look make.)
