Power Shopping: Jamie-Lynn Sigler Reveals Her Fashion Favorites
The star of NBC's new sitcom "Guys With Kids"--who has recently stepped out hitting a series of high fashion notes--talks fashion, shopping and her favorite designers.
Jamie-Lynn Sigler, who made her 1999 debut on The Sopranos playing Tony’s troubled teen daughter, now has kids of her own (TV kids) on the new NBC show Guys With Kids. Although her role as a content stay-at-home mother of two has kept the New York native busy, she still finds time to look effortlessly stylish (she stepped out in an ombre melon strapless Monique Lhullier at the HBO Emmy afterparty and an unexpectedly sexy Nonoo red jumpsuit at the NBC upfronts) and pay an occasional visit to Barneys New York. “That is my go to place. I can hit every floor for every need,” she says, “I can never leave with just one pair of shoes from that place.”
FAVORITE DESIGNERS
I have always loved Monique Lhullier for red carpet. She was the first big designer to ever dress me, and I think her designs are so feminine and gorgeous. She is also a fantastic woman so that makes her designs even better to love. I am also very into Rachel Roy lately. Whenever I am going through my stylists rack I tend to always pick out her clothes. Her stuff fits my body perfectly.
FAVORITE STORES
I am a N.Y. girl, and when I lived in the city I always shopped at Barneys. I also shop at a boutique in Beverly Hills called Switch (238 S. Beverly Drive Beverly Hills 90212), that is owned by a very dear friend. They have a great selection and amazing jewelry.

FAVORITE RECENT PURCHASE
I just bought this leather fringed bag by Donnatienne designs. It is big, but light, and I can fit everything I need in it, without having the bag itself weigh me down. I wear it to work, on weekends, and even out at night. I am obsessed with it, and get stopped all the time by people asking me where I got it. (The L.A.-based line can be purchased at Madison: 8745 W. 3rd St. Los Angeles 90038).
FAVORITE UNDER-THE-RADAR SHOP
Ahh, I am not that savvy of a shopper to know these cool stores no one knows about. In NYC I would be helpful, because there were all these tiny amazing boutiques in Tribeca, where I lived. But, if I had to say, I would pick Switch again. I find the best jeans and cute sweaters and blazersthere…all the staples for a good wardrobe.

FAVORITE TRAVEL MUST HAVES
Definitely a cashmere wrap…something you can wrap around you as a blanket on the plane and then use over a dress or outfit if it’s cool out where you are going. Two pairs of jeans, one casual and one high waisted bootcut, usually. Ballet flats and converse. I tend to do a lot of walking when I travel and so flats are a must. And finally, a great pair of sweatpants and sweatshirt. I HAVE to be comfortable when I call it a night, andalthough it’s not the sexiest look, big baggy sweats are the definition of comfort to me.
FAVORITE RED CARPET MOMENT
A tie between the green Monique Lhullier I wore to the Emmys, with the jeweled neckline, and the simple white Calvin Klein I wore to the SAG awards one year. Both simple, but my favorite.
