Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are apparently broken up following the news of Stewart's fling with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rubert Sanders.
Now the Daily Mail reports the Twilight stars and one-time real-life boyfriend and girlfriend have pulled out of the four upcoming fan conventions for the vampire saga's Breaking Dawn -- Part 2. Their co-star Taylor Lautner has also decided not to attend, according to the Mail.
The upcoming events are scheduled for Saturday in San Antonio; Sept. 29 in Detroit; Oct. 5 in Parsippany, N.J.; and Nov. 3 in Los Angeles. Los Angeles is the only one they all attended in 2011.
Creation Entertainment has released this statement about the situation: "The passion and dedication of Twilight fandom has been amazing and we're out to throw one last giant convention, a final gathering to see old friends that have made up the Twilight family. Although Rob, Kristen and Taylor will not be with us this time out we will have a super line-up of other Twilight stars and the weekend will be filled with special events, movie prop and costume displays, contests, panels, auctions, parties, exclusive merchandise, music and much more, including some surprises!”
But according to Pattinson's manager Nicholas Frenkel, the truth is that "We have not canceled any confirmed professional appearances for Robert. Specifically, he was never invited or set to attend these events."
A source close to Stewart concurs, adding "This is just another event that she definitely didn't cancel because she was never scheduled to attend in the first place."
Of course, the next concern is the the premiere's red carpet in November. It is three months away and a lot can happen in three months. But even if Stewart shows up in a stunning Balenciaga gown and Pattinson wears his usual dapper Gucci suit to the premiere, it may not be the same.
Tell us: How do you feel about Rob, Kristen and Taylor not being at the LA convention? And why weren't they invited?
