SAG Awards Fashion: Ashlee Simpson Sizzles As 'Boardwalk Empire' Star Vincent Piazza's Arm Candy
Missing from the red carpets for year, the singer accompanied her brand new actor boyfriend of one month.
Ashlee Simpson made a big fashion comeback and totally surprised carpet watchers at the SAG Awards looking fabulous in an ethereal sheer black Jenny Packham gown with edgy Loree Rodkin jewelry. And her date? None other than Vincent Piazza, star of HBO's acclaimed -- and SAG nominated -- Boardwalk Empire. The big thumbs up was for her platinum blonde short hair, replacing the long red hair she had been wearing.

Asked by reporters how long they've been dating, Ashlee and Vincent looked at each other for a few seconds before answering in unison, "About a month."
Most of the time, reporters asked Ashlee how her pregnant sister Jessica Simpson and how she was feeling. Great, she's feeling great. And she's happy, very happy. "You just want to be around her!"
