SAG Awards Fashion: Jessica Chastain is Red Hot (Again) In Alexander McQueen (Poll)
After her pale aqua gown flopped at the Golden Globes, the "Zero Dark Thirty" nominee rebounds at the SAG Awards in a bright red strapless dress.
What a difference the SAG Awards makes.
Screen Actors Guild Best Actress presenter and nominee Jessica Chastain (Zero Dark Thirty) chose a halter neck aqua gown for the recent Golden Globes. And -- to put it politely -- the dress did not receive critical raves. The adjectives droopy, unflattering, ill-fitting were used.
Yikes.
POLL: SAG Awards 2013: Jennifer Lawrence Is Slinky in a Navy Dior Couture Gown
But she played it safe and sure this week at the Screen Actors Guild Awards wearing a classic bright red strapless gown -- chosen by her Power Stylist Elizabeth Stewart-- and designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen.
The nominee also eschewed big hair and stuck with a sleek side parted do and just enough Harry Winston diamond jewelry to warrant a security guard.
It's worth noting that the last time Chastain wore red was at the Critics Choice Awards -- an embellished Prada dress adorned with Harry Winston jewelry and Jimmy Choo shoes.
Is red her good luck color? We will find out tonight!
She's got another big carpet ahead: The Academy Awards. And we're sure she's saved the best dress for last. Will she wear Armani, McQueen, Marchesa, Prada, Chanel, Valentino?
Oh, the suspense, the suspense!
