SAG Awards Fashion: Michelle Williams Saves Color for the Important Carpets With Red Valentino
The actress has worn black and white -- or black or white -- to almost every event during awards season.
Michelle Williams went through awards season last year, in 2011, for her performance in Blue Valentine. So she really knows the ropes of what to wear to which show for this year.
It was a black and white Chanel to the Critics Choice Awards a few weeks back and a black and white Victoria Beckham to the BAFTA tea a few days after -- but for the Globes, she wore a lovely blue Jason Wu. And now, for the SAG Awards, Michelle whipped out red, a lovely red Valentino tea length gown with lace sleeves.
The gown is short in the front than the back, but has no train. It's chic, but not over the top. The color tells the story, but the gown is not too embellished or frou frou. It's lovely and the right gown for the right show -- which Michelle and her stylist Kate Young obviously know very well.
Kate was the stylist to Natalie Portman for her amazing awards season wardrobe last year.
