SLS Hotel to Host Fashion's Night Out With Designer Barbara Bui
The hotel's private room "Saam" will also offer a dining event on Sept. 4 featuring looks by the French designer, who now has a store on Rodeo Drive.
While The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills this year will have no major coordinated Fashion's Night Out event on Sept. 6, as it has in the past -- other interesting events are cropping up in some unexpected places.
For instance, the SLS hotel's Bazaar restaurant -- one of L.A.'s finest and most unique -- will offer an FNO dinner several nights before, on Sept. 4. It will be a multi course dinner in the restaurant and hotel's gorgeous private room called SAAM, and the dinner will feature live design displays by Barbara Bui, a Paris based designer famous for her slim cut pants and great boots, who now has a store on Rodeo Drive. We used to have to buy her flattering trousers in Paris, but now we can get them at home.

The dinner will cost $200 a person, and will include food, wine selections and fashion commentary from journalist Melissa Magsaysay and commentary from the hotel's chef, so one can discover the inspirations behind the fashion-themed gourmet dinner.
A portion of the proceeds of this pre-FNO event will go to the Art of Elysium charity, that encourages working actors, artists and musicians to voluntarily dedicate their time to children who are battling serious medical conditions.
If you don't know the food at The Bazaar -- or the clothes of Barbara Bui -- these are complimentary in that they are both edgy, aesthetic and European flavored.
