Style Notes: The Kardashians Tackle Tanning; Sheryl Sandberg's Sartorial Silence; J Brand Plots World Domination

Kourtney, Kim, and Khloe Kardashian have teamed up with ULTA Beauty in the quest to bottle the perfect sunless glow.  Beginning in April, the sisters will hawk Kardashian Sun Kissed, a sunless tanning system that incorporates paraben- and sulfate-free exfoliators, lotions, body sprays, and bronzers. Looking to achieve rockstar glamour a la Kristen Stewart and Mary-Kate Olsen without all of that pesky partying?  Converse will offer a line of well-worn Chuck Taylors that arrive “in softer washed canvas with stained and distressed soles and toe caps, slightly dirtied and with thinner laces.” [Grazia]

Resident cool-girl designer Rebecca Taylor has delivered a jewelry collection in collaboration with San Francisco’s cult-favorite accessory line The 2 Bandits.  The line, which can be viewed and purchased through Taylor’s online shop, includes gold- and silver-plated necklaces, bracelets, and rings adorned with crystals, geodes, and even a few moonstones for good measure. And the collaborations keep coming.  In between dressing Lady Gaga and Kayne West, Maison Martin Margiela has joined Casio in designing a new G-Shock GA-300 watch. [Highsnobiety]

Critics of Sheryl Sandberg’s Lean In consider the Facebook COO’s unwillingness to discuss her workplace style sense a major source of contention.  Despite an oft-reported affinity for Calvin Klein sheaths and Prada pumps, Sandberg has remained tight-lipped on the subject. [Financial Times]

Denim darling J Brand’s founder Jeff Rudes has his sights set on expansion. Japanese brand conglomerate Fast Retailing, home to UNIQLO, Theory, and Helmut Lang, recently acquired the denim company, which launched a men’s line in 2008 and a rapidly growing ready-to-wear collection in 2012. The luxury conglomerate currently known as PPR, which houses Gucci, Stella McCartney, and Balenciaga, simply will be called Kering beginning June 18.  Company CEO (and Salma Hayek spouse) Francois Henri Pinault announced the change, which will be accompanied by an updated logo of an “owl with a heart-shaped face.” [Vogue UK]
