Lindsay Lohan was glitter-bombed as she arrived fashionably late to her most recent court hearing in sheer white pants and an architectural top with gray suede spike heels and a rosary. Lohan’s ensemble of sheer innocence worked in her favor as the Liz and Dick actress pleaded “no contest” to reckless driving and lying to police. The judge ordered the troubled star to attend rehab, participate in 18 months of psychotherapy and perform 30 days of community service. [Vanity Fair]

Is the great debate between dressing for fashion or comfort finally over? A new trend has emerged in the fashion world that has girls choosing sneakers over their prized Christian Louboutins. Chloe designer Phoebe Philo might have started the sneaker movement as she confidently parades in New Balance 993s and Nike Air Maxes at high-profile events. The noted fashion designer even was photographed in her Nike Vortexes for Vogue’s March issue. [Fashionista]

A patented nanotechnology created by Italian luxury brand Mi Piaci has given "overpriced" handbags and designer clothes a whole new meaning. Unlike the topical technique of gold foiling and gold leafing, the method manipulates 24-karat gold and infuses it into fur and leather. [Elle]

Net-a-Porter is set to launch a selection of makeup, hair, fragrance, nail polish and skin care products March 20. The collection will include a spectrum of brands including Chantecaille, Aesop, 3 LAB and James Read. As part of a phased launch, Net-a-Porter plans to add additional brands every week. Actress Tilda Swinton and Vogue cover girl is rumored to dress up as English musician David Bowie in his absence at the Victoria and Albert Museum opening. A spokesperson for the museum could not comment on the reports. The high-profile exhibit premiere is said to host a guest list that includes Kate Moss, Edie Campbell and Christopher Kane.
