Taylor Swift, Jessica Alba Are Sheer Delights on Red Carpet (Poll)
The Grammy-winning singer and the "Sin City: A Dame To Kill For" actress both donned one of Spring 2013's hottest trends -- light and sheer chiffon -- last weekend. Who wore it better?
Nothing says spring 2013 like a sheer chiffon gown festooned with floral embroidery. Just ask award-winning singer Taylor Swift and sexy Sin City actress Jessica Alba, who donned the gossamer light fabric at two different events over the weekend.
Clearly, they were both captivated by the waves of chiffon that floated down the runways during the spring 2013 fashion shows in New York, Paris and Milan. Of particular note: Donatella Versace’s chiffon lingerie-inspired dresses, Hedi Slimane’s romantic chiffon hippy dresses for YSL and Nina Ricci’s sophisticated and sheer gowns.

Taylor wore a flesh-colored sheer gown by British designer Jenny Packham, that featured bright red floral sequin embroidery, accessorized with Jimmy Choo shoes and Neil Lane jewelry to the Nov 2. Country Music Awards in Nashville, Tenn.

The very next night, Alba showed up at the first annual Baby2Baby Gala on Nov. 3, in Culver City, Calif. The Fantasic Four star wore a subdued cap-sleeved pale pink Valentino chiffon gown, accented by delicate floral embroidery, paired with Harry Winston jewelry and a Roger Vivier clutch.
To be honest, we never thought we would see the day when 23-year-old Swift out-vamped 31-year-old bombshell Alba. But this is that day.
STORY: Taylor Swift's 'Never Ever' #1 Spot on Country Music Charts Is Historic
Alba, who is a board member of the organization which supplies families in need with essential baby gear and clothing for children up to age 12, was honored that night. The event was also attended by Mindy Kaling, Rachel Zoe and Busy Phillips.
Meanwhile, Grammy-winning performer Swift is on top of the charts this month with the release of her new album, Red, which sold more than any album in its first week in 10 years, the last being Eminem’s The Eminem Show in 2002. Her single Never Ever was #1 on the country charts for three weeks, the first song to do that in 32 years. Swift will also perform at the American Music Awards on Nov. 18.
So we gotta ask: Who gets your fashion vote?
